Hyundai Construction Equipment Names Regional Service Manager

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas recently hired Lee Shirey as regional service manager. Shirey has more than 20 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry. Most recently, he was a field service technician at ASC Construction Equipment in Buford, Ga. He held similar positions at Nasser Heavy Equipment, Stafford Tractor Co. and METRAC, all located in Georgia. In his new role at Hyundai Construction Equipment, Shirey will oversee the department that services Hyundai’s extensive dealer network. read more

Stihl introduces the first professional concrete cutter of its kind, the company said, designed for plunge cuts, shaping square corners and cutting concrete pipes in trenches, cinder blocks, masonry bricks, asphalt and soft stone. The GS 461 Stihl Rock Boss is a lightweight, gasoline-powered concrete cutter specifically designed for deep cutting tasks. It offers a 13,500 max rpm and cuts up to a depth of 15.7 inches. read more

Magnum Power Products Debuts MLT Solar Hybrid Light Tower

The new MLT4000S solar hybrid light tower by Magnum Power Products is an alternative to traditional diesel-fueled light towers. The new model features a compact, three-panel solar array that is easily deployed to charge eight on-board batteries. When the batteries become depleted during nighttime use or in poor daytime weather conditions, the LP-fueled Generac air-cooled generator turns on automatically to recharge the batteries until the solar panels can take over. The MLT4000S comes with a standard, seven-day programmable controller. read more
